I've grown up in church all my life. I've been in youth ministry for more than 10 years. If I had to evaluate my relationship with the Lord I would say I have a solid mature closness with my Daddy God! Yet, there are times when I must STOP and lift up my spirit.
"Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for your selves
THIS day whom you will serve...But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." -
There are times when seving the lord is not easy and therefore undesirable to you. It's at that time when it is vital to command our spirt to worship Jesus.
Psalm 42:5 says, "Why are you downcast, O my sou? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God
for I will yet Praise Him, my Savior and my God."
Be encouraged youth pastors! You might feel overwhelmed or not important. But know that you're in the place that God has called you. You might feel as if you're fighting an uphill battle because you see a vision and those close to you don't. Remember, that you're where you are at becasue God has you right where he wants you.
If you're one of my Youth Pastors that are going on an AIM Trip please know that I am praying for you and your students. Let me know how I can pray for you!
