Today, my ever-wonderful husband brought me 2 beautiful roses - a red for love & yellow for friendship, his signature for our relationship. He shared with me that, as he walked out of the store with them, a woman said to him, "She'll forgive you."
This bothers me greatly. It was assumed that James did something wrong and flowers were his redemption in the situation. The woman didn't say, "Wow, that's sweet and thoughtful." She just assumed he made a mistake when, actually, he just wanted to show me that he loves me and is thinking about me. It actually makes feel quite sorry for this woman, whether or not the comment was made as a joke or out of experience.

My husband is being Jesus to me - showing me that he cares, is thinking about me, and wants me to have joy. No matter the tired, frustrating moments that we have, we show love. It's a wonderful gift given to us from God to share with each other and reciprocate. Evident in the most simplest ways, t
his world definitely needs more love.
