Since the beginning of man's existence, the devil has been doing everything in his power to get God's people to live far less than their potential.

Exchanges I made:  Sin for Salvation

                                Singleness for marriage

                                Security in ministry for Obedience

Abram exchanged security of family and relationship for friendship with God and became the father of Israel.

Moses exchanged his rank as son of Pharaoh to share in its hardship of his brethren and lead God's people out of Egypt.  (Hebrews 11)

Samson exchanged his anointing and calling to be God's deliverer for the short pleasures of fleshly desire.

Solomon exchanged his God - given wisdom and relationship to chase after the pleasures of power and priviledge.

Watch the choices we make.  In youth ministry we need to be careful that we're not trading God's desire for tradition.
