The other night we invited a friend over for dinner. My wife, our friend, and I sat down at ate some great home baked pizza. We got into the conversation about churches and then the conversation sparked something in my mind. Our friend was stating that she had a friend that for the most part told her
who she was not in the lord.
Please be reminded that when I say Chill out church I'm referring to the big C, meaning Christians. Too many of us pick out the faults of one another and the world is simply watching saying; "no thank you".
I am not talking about your brother or sister whom is CLEARLY walking away and needing some wise council. I'm referring to Christians who simply complain about someone else's lifestyle. For example, someone came up to me and said that my wife should not be working and that with her working we are "living wrong". My question is why it bothers you. Christians simply interpret the word differently, some without doing research.
I think of Mathew when Christ is commanding us to GO UNTO ALL THE NATIONS. Shouldn't that be our agenda? I simply ask why Christians worry so much about other Christians. Let's worry about those that are living a life COMPLETELY outside of Christ and let's simply share the love of Christ with those people.
Does it really matter that a fellow believer disagrees with your interpretation, does it really matter that women don't stay at home? Friends, there are far more things to worry about.
Does your neighbor know Christ because of you?
It's just a question, nothing more.
I remember when I was a conference a few months back. I was sitting in the hot tub with about 5 other youth pastors. In addition, there were 2 gentlemen from Canada. We were talking about the conference and the two from Canada were on vacation not attending the conference. We got started on the topic of religion. As it turns out each one of us came from a different denomination. The other gentleman said; "so you’re different, yet the same.”
I smiled in my head and I thought
exactly. We chatted about everything that night. When the 2 men left, we said that we don't care if you're post tribulation, pre tribulation. I said I'm pan tribulation, meaning it will all pan out at the end.
Let's go into 2007 with a new agenda. Let's concentrate more on sharing the love of Christ?
