Last night my wife and I watched a movie regarding 9/11. It was on ABC and was told from an outside perspective, showing the details leading up to the attack of the World Trade Centers. It was emotional. This was not some fictional movie (though some dialogue and events were assumption), but rather a movie of the impact of lives lost. Towards the
end of the movie there was a scene in which a wife received a phone call from her husband who was on a flight being hijacked. She had already witnessed on T.V. the WTC, she knew there was little chance she would ever see her husband again. That's when it got to me. I fly a lot and I placed myself in his shoes. What would that conversation be like between my wife and I? As the movie continues you see the destruction of more than buildings, but lives being destroyed
: Lost brothers, sisters, mommies, daddies, grandmas, grandpas, sons, and daughters, a destruction that will be felt longer
than
Pearl
Harbor or other event.
This movie reminded me of the destruction that sin can cause. Sin is real. As the government is trying to prevent another attack, how am I preventing another stupid attack from satan
? What do I have in place to prevent a destruction in my life
?
It's time...today, not tomorrow to press in and take hold of the hem of Jesus' garment. Let the church unite and take hold of Christ together.
