James W. Hooper is the West Coast Regional Representative with Adventures In Missions.   His passion and heart is to raise up a generation of young people that will stand up, reach out, and bring in the harvest that is ripe for today.      He has a gift to speak into the lives of students in a very relative, annoited and out of the box way

"I believe that a student lead revival is within reach if these young people realize who they are in Christ" - James

James served as youth pastor at a few denominations for over 10 years.  He and His wife  Rachel met ministering together for a mission organization and have been married since 2003.    Rachel works full time at Meritage Homes as a Customer Care Coordinator with hopes to soon join James on the field.

He and his wife Rachel have a heart that is heavy for the Lord.   They love to see students push the envelope of ministry and yearn for a student led revival.      James has the calling on his life to empower students to stop living the standard Christian life and to rise up taking hold of the power of the Holy Spirit.   People have spoken into James' life saying:

  • He has keen insight into the spiritual realm
  • Battle ax for Jesus
  • Discerning spiritual warfare
  • Deep place of teaching
  • Holds a Revival Mantle (A prophetic word)

Just recently, in November of 2006, they received a phone call about a baby that needed to be adopted. They prayed and sought wise council and adopted the baby in which they named Isaac. Isaac has added so much to their lives.

James, Rachel, and Isaac reside in Citrus Heights, California (20 miles east of Sacramento) with their dog Yukon.   They attend Bridgeway Christian Church www.bridgewaychristian.org  where they serve as mission coordinators.

Life Verse:  Isaiah 40:28-31: "Do you not know? Have you not heard?  The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He will not grow tired or weary, and his undertanding no one can fathom.  He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
