I know that I have not written in sometime.  But I must explain what my wife and I are going through.  Last week my wife received a phone call from a relative.  There is a baby that is being born in January.  Rachel and I were asked if we wanted to adopt the baby boy.  There so much more detail but I will keep in short right now.  Please pray for my wife and I as we enter into a new season! 

I was thinking the other day of the verse where it says "Ask in my name and it shall be done."  We all know of the verse.  But I really started thinking what does it mean to ask in his name.  Christians pray all the time for a specifc need of the family and sometimes (according to us) we don't see any change.  We all know that God does not work on the same time table as us but we still look up to the Father and ask, "why".  I wonder if asking in His name is asking in His presence.  Too many times we thow petition after petetion to God without ever inviting His presence into our midst.  I can remember times where I was worshiping and seeking the Holy Spirit and I would feel His presence so very strong, I believe it's in those times where we ask in His name and it shall be done.

God is good and He is for us!  But I'm reminded this week not to take God for granted.  I need to invite him into my home and spend time in His presence.  Will you do that this week, just invite Him into your home!
