With all the mystery type shows that are consuming the T.V. I came up with an idea sometime ago and several Youth Pastors thought I should post it.  It's MISSION POSSIBLE. 

1. Have your student ministry spread into groups or teams.  If you could keep the teams at about 4-6 it would  help. 
2. Each team must choose a captain (Good place for leaders or for leadership development) and a team name (get creative).
3. All teams and it's members are classified.  Meaning that people on Team A should NOT know who's Team B and sorth forth.  Any Classifed informtion that is shared will be considered a leak and the team member and/or the entire team could be withdrawed.  All TEAMS ACTIONS ARE CONSIDERED TOP SECRET AND NOT ONE PERSON OUTSIDE OF THE TEAM IS TO KNOW IT'S MEMBERS OR IT'S ACTIONS.
4. THE TEAM CAPTAIN IS THE CONTACT PERSON OF THE TEAM:

 CHOOSING THE TEAM

As the youth leader you will choose the teams (you know your students best) and the Captains.  Let the students know about this and it's rules.  The captain will recieve a phone call (Pick a friend of yours that a Student does not know) telling him that the list of people on his team is located at a specific place (The list could be in an envenlope taped behind a stop sign or under a rock, again this is your time to get creative).  The captain must retrieve that information and contact his team. 

THE MISSION

The youth leader will talk to the pastor or someone in the church that knows the needs of specific people in the church..anything from rebuilding a fence, buying groceries,racking up leaves, painting, or something.  The leader will get his friend to make the call to A captain.  The friend will mention that the information for the mission is located at ?(get creative), and that the captain
MUST bring his team to the location of the information.  (This mission has 2 weeks to be completed).  Again no one must see them retrive the information or complete the mission.

The team is to work together and complete the mission without allowing anyone to know, including the people that live at the location of the mission.  This might mean that the team must get creative and know the schedule of the people living at the residence.  Example:  One team member could take them out or something.

THE REWARD

The team that completes all of it's missions without allowing one soul to know of it's team or missions will win.  Have an awards ceremony at the church or have a dinner at a really cool place. 

The other reward is that the needs are being met at the church.  This is a fun way minister acts of kindness.
